FAQ’S
-
I can not guarantee that your insurance provider recognizes my professional designations, and encourage you to contact your insurance provider to see if my services are covered by your policy.
-
At this time, I do not offer direct billing.
-
At Quantum Counselling, I believe in equity and accessibility. If my fees are a barrier to you, please book a discovery call. Discovery calls cost you nothing, and I can offer sliding scale services on a case-by-case basis. There are a few spots reserved for a sliding scale.
-
A discovery call is a chance for you to meet me, and determine for yourself if I can offer the support you need and deserve. Think of it as an interview, where you can ask questions, share your story, and experience how the professional holds space.
My priority is for you to get the help that you deserve, and if the meeting with me doesn’t feel like the perfect fit to you, I am happy to make a referral to someone in our network who may be a better match for your unique needs.
-
If we both decide we're a good fit after our intro call, we'll schedule our first therapy appointment. I'll send you a couple of quick forms to complete before our first session. I'll also send you a link for our video calls that you can use every week.
-
As a Therapist, I have a collaborative, non-judgmental, and relatable approach that will make getting started a bit easier. During our first session or two, I'll ask you a bunch of questions to get a better picture of your life journey. I will listen to you without judgment. We will come up with goals together of what you hope to accomplish in therapy.During therapy you'll have an opportunity to vent, gain perspective and new insights, learn to challenge your thoughts, receive feedback, and develop and practice new coping skills. Sometimes therapy can be tough work, and sometimes it is fun and full of laughter. Either way, I am here to support you and will help you achieve the change and growth you are looking for.
-
I meet with the majority of my clients on a weekly basis. I ask that all new clients commit to meeting weekly, for at-least the first 6 weeks. This will allow us to start off on a strong foot, so you can start seeing progress right away.
I may recommend that we increase or decrease the frequency of sessions to best meet your needs.
-
My approach is solutions focused. This means you won’t have to be in therapy forever. Many of my clients find that they’ve met their goals in 3-6 months and no longer need therapy.
I also have clients who choose to remain in therapy for much longer; they have seen improvements and still really enjoy having ongoing support and a place to process their thoughts and feelings each week.

It depends on my schedule.Normally, if there is not another session booked right after your appointment, then the extra minutes would just be prorated on your invoice. If I have another session,I would communicate that with you during the wrap up process towards the end of our session.
